Democrat Rod Driver challenges George W. Bush to waterboarding for charity
A POLITICIAN has challenged former US President George W. Bush to undergo waterboarding, offering to donate $US100 to charity for every second he can endure. Democrat Rod Driver also sent letters challenging former Vice President Dick Cheney and ex-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to undergo the practice, which the Bush administration has denied is a form of torture.Mr Driver, a State representative from Rhode Island, told The Westerly Sun that those who condoned the practice - which simulates drowning - should undergo it themselves."If anyone did that to me, I'd confess to the attacks on 9/11, the sinking of Lusitania (in 1915), or anything else they want to hear to get them to stop," Mr Driver said. "I'm outraged that my country is stooping to this level...
